I came across this hilarious video while going through my FB newsfeed. It is beyond funny!

This is something I would do in real life. Except it wouldn't be made into a music video. We freestyle songs all the time around here. Kind of like how the Braxton Sisters do but our's are normally child related. Hope you enjoyed this video. Have a great weekend!

Well. I'm sure you are all aware by now that Beyonce has released an album. I woke up Thursday morning to nurse a crying baby and figure out why my phone was blowing up. A friend of mine was informing me that Beyonce had released an album super sleuth style while I was getting my beauty rest.

Once I finished feeding babyM I pulled up iTunes and started checking out snippets of the songs and videos. Being the big Bey fan that I am I was beyond excited. After downloading the album and giving it a good listen (all day) I have to say that I love it. I love the unapologetic, raunchy and grown-up lyrics on this album. You can tell she really is more confident in who she is and I am here for it. All of it.

I have always enjoyed music that called for a little booty tooching, she gives you that. I have always enjoyed music that makes you feel or think about something, she gives you that. And lastly, I have always enjoyed learning about my favorite artists through each album. Done. 

Now. I completely understand that many people are not here for her music. Many people don't like it or they simply don't get her. That's fine. This post isn't for you. All I can say is that I am happy to have new music from her and if she offers a another tour date in a Texas city near me my behind will be there. I don't care if I have to go with a baby strapped to my chest, LOL! I'm in there!

Did y'all like these? I thought they were hilarious and sadly some of them are probably true, LOL!! I know my friends and I can relate to the Shanaynay meme. Anytime I hear someone say they don't like her I'm like, "Wait, what?" Very funny! Anyone else get the album? What were your thoughts? I think the album comes out in stores on December 21. I'll be getting a copy for my car too!

Video Diary 11222013 Featuring The Husband

I thought it would be fun to do one of the husband tag videos. We actually filmed one a few weeks ago but something happened with the audio. Our video and audio wasn't in sync so I had to find new questions and try it again. I hope you all enjoy this video. I'm pretty sure my husband really wanted to be watching football. He seemed really sad when he found out I couldn't fix the first one that we did, LOL! Anyway, here it is. And of course, the babies make cameo appearances…

And apparently my husband feels that I need to answer twenty questions (which just reminded me of that 50 Cent song) so I guess we'll be filming another one with me in the hot seat.

Welp. Sorry fashionistas. This isn't a fashion post. I was thinking about those fun quizzes in magazines that I no longer have the time to take. If I were to take a quiz about my Mom style or personality what would my answers say about me? That got me to thinking. What is my Mom style or Mom personality?

In a nutshell. Here it is.

Way to Go! You're a "Regular" Mom!

And by "regular" we mean pretty awesome. You believe in play dates and routines. Eating veggies and occasional splashing during bath time. Bed time stories and consequences for broken rules. You think it's okay to stay up late every now and then. Eating from a drive-thru isn't necessarily your preference but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and you don't beat yourself up about it. You may or may not constantly be behind on laundry. Hey. Everyone has that one task that they hate. Folding clothes just happens to be yours. Moms like you laugh more than they stress because you realize that most of the crazy in your house is temporary. You consider yourself a domestic diva but agree that you're not quite Martha Stewart. You may not be the craftiest of Moms but you can out-source and shop with the best of them! You believe that life experiences and family vacations are more important than expensive trends. Moms like you realize that perfection is over rated and boring. Most importantly, you relish in the time you have with your little ones because you know they won't be little forever. See. Being "regular" isn't so bad, right?

Second Baby Syndrome

Have y'all heard of second baby syndrome? Supposedly it's when you're more carefree about your second baby than you were with your first. It's like you've been there and done that so you don't stress as much. Well. By now you have probably figured out that I am a crazy planner. Let me tell you there is nothing more crazy than a planner that has nothing to plan, haha!!

I keep having this feeling that I should be doing something to prepare for the baby. Don't get me wrong there is some work to be done but it's nothing huge. There's no shower to get ready for, no extensive baby gear research to be done and no books to read. I mean. I guess I could read a book about siblings or having baby number two but honestly I don't have time for that. Google is quicker and cheaper. Not to mention Pinterest probably has every tip and trick known to parents by now.

I just have the weirdest feeling that I'm not doing enough to prepare for my baby boy. I know it's all in my head but I can't help it, haha! The only thing that I still need to do is buy his crib and mattress. Other than that I literally have nothing to do but wait for him. I guess it's a good thing though. Between all my check-ups and appointments (and dance rehearsal and play dates) I don't have time to do much of anything. I'm surprised I even find time to still write this blog. 

Am I crazy? I know I sound crazy! Did anyone else have second baby syndrome or go through this crazy feeling when they were pregnant with number two?

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope your day has been filled with so much love and happiness. Then again, I hope all of your days are like that. That's the thing about Valentine's Day that I've never really liked. I still don't quite get what all the hype is about. Maybe it's because I'm not easily impressed by flowers or balloons. Or maybe it's because my husband is so good to me that Valentine's Day just doesn't seem "special". I prefer it that way. Show me love all year and whatever you do, do not buy me flowers or balloons. Anyone else feel that way?

So true! We'll be watching tonight!

I love love. I love everything it means. I love everything it stands for. We'll be attending a couple's retreat this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. I read over the schedule for the weekend and the "classes" or "sessions" sound very fun! I'll be sure to post a recap next week. Enjoy your Valentine's Day. Remember to demand love all year long. You deserve it.

Friday Funny

No special plans for us this weekend. My husband has a basketball tournament so I am pretty sure I'll be going to some (or all) of that. On Sunday if it's not too cool I am planning on wearing a dress to church that I was sent to review. The dress is so cute and I can not wait to share it with you all.
